Serving the Church
Reaching Men
“The Bride is more beautiful when the men are more godly…”
We do not need to reinvent what it means to be a man. We just need to reclaim in. God gave us the perfect picture of what it means to be a man in His Son, King Jesus…
“Jesus…is the Lion of Judah (Rev. 5:5) and the Lamb of God (Rev. 5:6) – He was lionhearted and lamblike, strong and meek, tough and tender, aggressive and responsive, bold and brokenhearted. He sets the pattern for manhood.” — John Piper
Most men ARE walking around in a masculinity fog:
“In the 1970’s, predominant culture said ‘I don’t need a man.'
In the 1990’s it became ‘I don’t want a man.'
Today, we are asking ‘What is a man?'"
Men need Advocates:
Western society has largely rendered manhood obsolete. Men are being told by AI that their wisdom is no longer valued. Automation suggests that their strength is unnecessary. Progressive culture communicates to men that their gender is irrelevant. Moreover, the Church, through it’s conscious and unconscious catering to women and children, has conveyed to men that their presence is not needed.
The result is a generation of men living lives of quiet despair:
50/80%
men have the highest rate of suicide
[men account for 50% of the population, but 80% of the suicides].
75%
of murder victims are men.
70%

14 points
